History of the Cat Crisis Coalition

  • The Coalition was formed in late September 2004;
  • Established a Steering Committee, which first met in October 2004, and has met fortnightly since then.
  • Established several task-focussed working parties.
  • Developed a range of promotional and informational publications
  • Arranged print-runs of a range of promotional material, and distributed these to a broad spectrum of the community
  • Devised strategies for lobbying organisations and politicians
  • Commenced development and monitoring of an action plan, setting timelines for each stage of the campaign
  • Developed and launched a website in March 2005
  • Formally launch the Coalition and Campaign, March 2005
